Wait, can’t Cadence sense other emotions besides love? It would make sense because it helps her to do her job at cementing or repairing relationships that have any kind of turmoil, allowing her to help couples through their issues and strengthening their love for eachother.
If so, then she HAS to know Shining is in there based of his and Celestia’s lust, or at the very least should be getting two waves of guilt and/or fear which would raise questions since, from her perspective, Celestia was the only one in the room.

Another question is why she was not suspected what is going on or why she ignored it.
