Out of all the main six, Rarity and Rainbow Dash have interacted about…..five minutes, give or take in the series. And I’m talking more as talking together. I might be wrong, but they honestly seem more like friends of association since they never really do anything together except when the others are.

Which is okay. You can’t be ‘best’ friends with everyone and these two are a contrast of interests.
