Description
After being plagued by nightmares of her own making, I can see why she’d dream of finally sleeping peacefully.

Looks normal to me.
There are water reflections on her nose if that is throwing you off I suppose. :)
She’s dreaming that she’s asleep . . . and in that dream, she’s dreaming that she’s asleep . . . and so on.
I heard that Mike Vogel—who is a writer for Season 6—wants to do a Celestia episode, per the Q&A at SDCC.
She’s letting Twilight handle all this shit to train her to be a Princess. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one setting the villains loose or directing their attacks in a controlled manner so Twilight never faces a foe that’s more than she can handle, but one that is just powerful enough to force her to fight for her victory.
Yeah, that would require her to get up and do something rather than foisting it off on Twilight all the time.
Compare Luna. This was her problem, but as soon as it got out of hoof, she was off like a flash to fix it. She may have gone a bit far the other way, not wanting to involve others in her fight, but it’s a big change from Celestia’s default setting of ‘hoof Twilight a 30 second info dump, if she even gets anything, and let her fix whatever sealed evil in a can has popped up to EAT Equestria this time.’
