“Uh…orange juice.”

She smiles and bows.
 
Maid: Wait right here. I’ll be back with food.
 
She walks off, leaving you at a small table next to a large window. There is only one seat at the table.

Cinnamon sits down, he stares out the window. (What does he see?)

A rather beautiful view of the Crystal Empire greets him, although it seems lonely and cold.

(As per the usual, I guess.) Cinnamon stares and stares out the window, thinking many things, emotions conflicting one another.

After a few moments the maid comes back with breakfast for him.
 
Maid: Here you are, Cinnamon Hoof.

Cinnamon doesn’t hear her, he still stares out the window.

She puts the plate and glass in front of him.
 
Maid: Cinnamon?
 
She says a little louder.

Cinnamon jolts a bit and turns towards her. “Oh, I’m sorry, forgive me…I was just…thinking.”

Maid: Here’s your breakfast. Mind if I inquire as to what you were thinking about?

Cinnamon stares at the food for a while. “I don’t think you want to know.”

Maid: I do, very much so. Princess Umbra often shared her thoughts with me.

Cinnamon sighs. “Look, I really don’t want to talk about it, especially since you correspond with the princess.”

@Solar Spark  
Maid: I promise not to tell her.

@LunarGhostRedMoon  
Cinnamon looks into her eyes, since he had been avoiding them the whole time. (I’m really tempted to throw a Pinkie Promise in here, but I don’t know how your oc and you would take that.)

@Solar Spark  
(I’m fine with it. The maid has no clue what it is. Princess Umbra will never know.)
 
Hers are a light pink, and she keeps eye contact.

Cinnamon thinks for a second, then speaks “Pinkie Promise?”

Maid: Sure. What is that?

“An old, old way of promising you will do something for somepony, goes like this.” Cinnamon teaches her how to do it.

@Solar Spark  
She does it without hesitation.
 
Maid: Now will you tell me?

Cinnamon sighs “I feel conflicted, I sometimes feel the world we live in is wrong, that we should return to how it was before.”

Maid: …I don’t know… I’ve lived my entire life under King Sombra. I know nothing else…

(Sorry for late response, question, my oc would have to be thousands of years old to know what life was like back before it was all villians, right? If so, he would learn about it from books, which I can go somewhere with.)
