Yes. They’re reformed. And so were Flim and Flam, Iron Will, and the Changelings.
Who cares. All villains in this picture are reformed. Except For Lightning Dust, Queen Chrysalis, and King Sombra. Iron Will and the Flim Flam Brothers’ alignments are neutral throughout the G4 franchise.
Discord: It was either you or another background changeling. Deal with it.
This is the real reason all the reformed “villains” went evil again, so they could appear in new episodes.

I emailed the publisher and they said it was. Where did you see that it wasn’t?

Oh yeah it’s licensed stuff but still.
Still fucked over either way and indicative of where the character is going (or rather isn’t).
As for toys, I’ve only seen licensed stuff with her since Rainbow Rocks (which was EqG, anyway); iirc nothing from Hasbro itself.
I think it was more that S5 came out with characters and they wanted to capitalize on it.
Christ. Trixie confirmed for not in S06, either, I guess, if a book on her that was probably written half a year ago or more is pushed back after it.

Demigod? You think Discord is a demigod? He is quite literally omnipotent. How can you call him a demigod? The only thing stopping him from ruling over the entire world is his nature.
I feel really bad about saying this, but I emailed the publisher and the date is apparently January of 2017 now instead. But they haven’t really updated anything, and it might have been just some random intern that told me that.
To? It was supposed to be next month…

The conversation about variant covers is going to happen over and over again, with no one learning from it, isn’t it?
They were not cut from issue #4, they were “cut” during the pitch, before any script was written. Hasbro gave Whitley a list of allowed characters.
Whitley also said Trixie and Discord were never going to be antagonists in his story even without Hasbro having to tell him since the show already gave them a redemption arc. But in the case of Gilda, he would have needed the heads up about Griffonstone from Hasbro.
