Too bad not everything got textured to pony, like the beer and some other things, but it would be kinda nice to have prewar texture packs too for the sake of some locations having “preserved” bottles and such, much as like the cigarette packs can be.
@AlushyTheTyrant
Have you recorded any of those mob wars you speak of? Should be entertaining to watch, I imagine.
And SIXTY FREAKIN DOLLARS ON STEAM? I figured the price would have dropped by now. How long has this game been out?
I’ll just go buy the disk from Gamestop. Should get it for $40 or less, there. Then, all I can do is hope that they decide to be nice and put Season Pass on sale…
I can spawn out a hefty bit of mobs and have them go to war against each other, and I hang out in god mode while they all duke it out. If my AMD/ATI based laptop can handle that, and many other intense 3D games from Steam, then it speaks volumes about the crap I had to SUFFER through when using something InHell based. :/
FO4 averages 13 FPS (some places as high as 25 FPS) during clearest skies, and at least a minimum of 6-5 FPS during the intense heavy rad rain/dust storms provided by True Storms. Fortunately I have a cooling pad under my laptop, but even without, heat isn’t much of an issue. Anything is better than a shitty Intel CPU and “GPU” only giving 1-2 FPS and maxing out quickly and getting uber hot.
@evan555alpha
Well, if you can get it to run on that, then my old Alienware-14 should be able to handle it. Guess I shall be getting the PC version… Just gotta wait for them to have a somewhat decent deal on it. But I WILL get it, and maybe I might even try my hand at creating mods, even if they are just for my own personal use.
@Biker Dash
It’s a Bethesda game, so even the minimum requirements are a bit exaggerated. I’ve managed to get the game to run (if you can call it that) with some 96 mods on a laptop with an i3 3227U processor, 8GB of RAM, and Intel HD4000 graphics. It doesn’t run all too well (averaging between 0 and 30fps depending on location and direction I’m looking) but hey, something’s better than nothing, right?
@AlushyTheTyrant
It is not the space a desktop takes… it is the lack of having a suitable place to set up any sort of desktop.
Now, if my living situation changes, I will definitely be building a decent desktop. Something with a decent amount of RAM, a sweet 6 core i7, and a pair of NVidia cards.
Now, that laptop you listed, it’s processor is less powerful than the i5 in my AW14. No clue how the graphics packages compare between the two.
APU: AMD A6 Accelerated W/ ATI Radeon R4 GPU
RAM: 8 GB DDR4
OS: Winderps 10 Pro 64bit
Price before being pulled from market: $500 USD
NOW you can get parts to build a mini desktop pc that really doesn’t take much space, especially since MSI has a micro ATX gaming motherboard with InHell processor but can be stacked up to 32 GB of RAM, and the bits fall in from there too…
@AlushyTheTyrant
Sadly, my current PC does not match up to the needed specs for the PC version of this game. Now, Alienware did offer new MBs for the AW14 laptop that offered a much improved graphics package and you could get it with a pretty insane (for the time) i7 quad core. If I can find out if they still have those, and how much they cost, it might just bring up my laptop to where I need it. (Please do NOT say “get a desktop”, cause, due to my living situation, a desktop is not a practical solution.)
PC version is glorious when it comes down to unlimited modding (so as long as they work and don’t crash the game to desktop), but there are the rare occasions where FO4 will stall on loading screens but continue to play music (while digging a comfortable near 3 gb trench in memory).
@AlushyTheTyrant
Consoles are also limited to mods that are no larger than 2GB in size. That is why the mod that changes the Commonwelth to an overgrown forestland is not available. It is simply too large.
@Biker Dash
Depending on how hard it is to port, CaN might make it to the xbone. I don’t know if it’s already been ported or not, as I don’t get my mods from bethnet. If you’re on the ps4, however, you’re pretty much SOL, as Sony doesn’t allow the use of external assets in their mod “support”.
PC MASTER RACE! Aside from that, to choose between flutts or dash for bears, one would have to go in and do some light modding to the actual mod itself, otherwise it’s dash by default. Mind you that most mods for FO4 get posted to the Nexus website, which are for PC, and not all mod makers will push them over for the xbox version either due to their disgust with console compatibility/porting.
@AlushyTheTyrant
May have been around for almost a year, for PC, but I have been searching through mods on my Xbone ever since they opened up for my console. My guess would be that it just recently became available for the Xbone. The guy who created it stated that it had originally been for the PC, and in the PC version, you can choose between RD and Fluttershy for your teddy bear.
As for the Crimes Against Nature mod, is that strictly PC? Because I do not play Fo4 on the PC. I have it on console only. Also, “greatest” is just a matter of opinion. In my opinion, the Modern Firearms: Tactical Edition mod is my personal favorite.
This mod has been around for the better part of about a year, the latest and greatest mod for FO4 is Crimes Against Nature and it’s required mod RaceCustomizer.
Too bad not everything got textured to pony, like the beer and some other things, but it would be kinda nice to have prewar texture packs too for the sake of some locations having “preserved” bottles and such, much as like the cigarette packs can be.
I have no interest in recording anything from my computer.

CaN is xbone compatible, but, unlike PC, console uses HAVE to be careful with how many mods they add, otherwise issues will arise.

What was that line of Littlepip’s again? Oh… I remember.
“BAILFIRE EGGS FOR EVERY MONSTER! YAY!”
@cheezedoodle
And suddenly, my Xbox One gets C&N’ed
Edited because: forgot to add something
