Your statement is confused because  
  1. Which one is the “good” one is subjective.  
  2. The second outfit has her wearing a sun dress, so if you’re talking about that one, she is wearing a dress.

I find it funny that in this new line, Vinyl Scratch still has pony ears (despite having never ponied up in EG) while Daring and Starlight don’t.
 
Yeah, in the old Minis lines pretty much everyone was ponied up, but I find it odd here that they didn’t stick to one way or another. So either the Mane Seven only, or everyone.

I used to totally hate the proportions on the old EqG toys, but these minis fit my taste rather well. I mean, now they look ‘chibi’ instead of lanky and malnourished. I think they have a similar proportion to Megaman or Sonic characters (minus their oversized hands and feet). I kinda expected Starlight to look a little older than that though. I mean, she wears her hair like a woman in the 1960s after all.
 
Also I somehow can see them being JoJo characters, like seriously.
