Perhaps some writers use hiragana for foreign words because it is as stylish to them as writing only in small Latin letters (without any capitals).

Yes, but normally foreign words would be written in katakana, not hiragana.

The Japanese text is a phonetic transcription of the English words, “Happy girls” – being what those two characters are.
