Something like this will never be canon and honestly that makes me sad.
 
Not because I’m particularly partial to this ship. But the inability/unwillingness of the staff to go anywhere substantive with this kind of subject matter is obviously never going to change.
 
They’ll tease it repeatedly but they’re either too cowardly or too restrained by other forces to tackle actual relationships despite the high school setting being fertile ground for such content.
 
It would have been better had they never even broached the idea in the first place. Of course there’d still be fan art like this(which is well done btw).
