okay yes hoohas are pretty much specific to certain families of ape. you got me there.
that’s what the illuminesti want you to think!
it would help if people would stop shifting the goalposts…
yiffur01: you have to let me post my slightly ponylike bimbos with big boobs and fat lips
hoersfkr: but they have boobs, and feet, and they don’t even have tails, or fur
yiffur01: ackchyually, anthro refers to any humanlike trait so they are the same as ponies
Also, technically humans are the most advanced species on earth like ‘em or not. Birds didn’t invent the internet you’re using.
(And birds don’t have boobs.)

I understand that, and I’m fine with classifing them separately so we can tell the difference, you guys are completely misunderstanding me.
I’m just saying the quadruped ponies still have some human-like behaviors, and such, so “feral” isn’t really a good choice of words to me. I just call them “quadruped” to differ them from anthro’.
I’m not saying they’re “fully anthro’/humanized,” just a li’l bit. I’m not saying they’re fully such, do I have to keep trying to explain this?
Edited
I wish lyra was real just so she could get absolutely disgusted by how much everyone keeps bothering her about hands. ♥
@Durabiznik
my little ponies can breathe through their mouths, which is something humans can do but ungulates cannot. but really, I think much of the whole “anthropomorphic” thing comes from humanity’s raging superiority complex. they don’t call something avianomorphic because it has hands. oh no, it’s anthropomorphic. the fact that birds evolved grasping appendages while humans were still lemurs doesn’t matter, because everything has to be based on humans, since they’re the center of the universe.
Their eyes are about as human-like as any other cartoon’s - not very, being far too large and the wrong shape. A shorter muzzle is not an anthropomorphic feature, as humans lack any muzzles whatsoever.
Bugs Bunny is about as terrible as examples go. He is bipedal, with fingers and a fully anthropomorphic set of bones and joints. Essentially the only two acknowledgments of his lapine origins from neck down are his tail and hind paws.
Again - ponies have no biological anthropomorphic features, and therefore do not qualify as anthro.

I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make here.
There are decade old categories in which you can put the various types of MLP art and some people prefer the one type that’s closest to the show, aka feral, over the others, like anthro.
Trying to bend definitions to invalidate that preference is futile.
Actually, they kinda do, their eyes are a bit more human for one thing, and their snouts are smaller. They resemble a real horse as much as Bugs Bunny resembles a real feral rabbit. My whole point is they still have some humanized or anthro’ qualities, even if they don’t look fully anthro’. I’m not saying they’re “fully” anthropomorphic, just a li’l bit.
@redweasel
Hands?
I like the term handed, myself. ponies and handed ponies. animals and handed animals.
handed? hand? handy? handbearing? “thumbs, -human”?
It does in furry terminology.
They have no biological anthropomorphic features, i.e. they’re feral - the literal antithesis to anthro.

“Feral” doesn’t exactly mean ponies whom talk, live in houses, read books, and do things humans do.
NO DONT FAP TO THAT
Edited because: rule 7

This is exactly were people draw the line, feral vs anthro. They’re nothing alike.
Depends on whom you ask, seeing as some bronies only like the quadruped ponies, and shun anthropomorphic Pony fanart.
Though, technically, even the quadruped cartoon ponies are still kinda anthropomorphic themselves, seeing as they talk, use human tools, sometimes wear clothes, etc.
Still, in regards to those whom shame those for liking anthro’ art, they’re really not one to talk, seeing as they still like Ponies.
(Also, Jargon has drawn anthro’ pony art before, so this isn’t a stab at anthro’ artists.)

it’s how I feel when my favorite artist does the same with any kind of ych. so… probably?
Just follow my art and creep around.
Be careful not to post a sound.
then you gotta chase a super Normie on the run.
If you wanna be a furry number one
Welcome.
@Meanlucario
Oh~
Yeah, that’s a pretty grim fate for any artist. Oof.
Thanks for the explain.
