If I was to write a comic / story I would ofc have a hijabi character and I would have LITERALLY EVERYBODY ask her “why wear hijab” and she’d be like “same reason Alicia over there has a boob window. But y’all never ask her why.”
 
At least I want the reader’s internal questions addressed, you know.

Technique SIX bruh? Ok that could be a problem for him down the line.
 
Heavyweights rely on techniques as opposed to brute strength. When he’s fighting a guy of similar size if his technique is low he’s gonna get clobbered. Dude needs to sharpen his _skills_bruv.
 
Fighting style: wrestling submiss–OH NO! Bro those are technique reliant disciplines if you’re fighting in the same weight class. SURE you can just yank a grip off if strong enough, or slam a guy trying to choke you but a skilled submission master would really sap your strength away by limiting your options.
 
Not a good look. Maybe an absolute unit but yeesh. low speed low adaptability too?! MAN he’s just a literal stonewall I guess. Good at defense and absorbing damage.

So I thought, if I suck at traditional sketching, I’ll try digital sketching

I’m gonna assume you didn’t even plan or block out the underlying structure. Considering you’re not even used to the medium, that’s actually pretty decent.

Well, yes, but actually no - I used a ref sheet of my OC for that, and I own a drawing tablet for years - but I rarely used it in action, and the last time I used it was to make an intentionally crude (but heartwarming in-universe) drawing for my dead comic

I guess poor Stonewall needs a buff. xD
 
In terms of technique, I sort of imagined it along the lines of “How much of this character knows about said style” rather than “How well they can execute it,” if I’m guessing that was your approach.
 
My idea was that Stonewall knows a few wrestling and submission moves, but not enough to harness it to its fullest. Best he can do is like one or two leg locks, and just hurling his opponents belly/back first onto the floor. In terms of Streetfighting, he’s got one or two great strikes a powerful haymaker, but overall clumsy, slow, and hard hitting puncher/kicker.
 
Also really doesn’t help that he’s the only one of that size and weight (so far), so lack of adequate training hits hard.
 
Feel free to PM me if you wanna talk about this a little more. I ain’t the best at this, so it’d be great to get some second opinions.
