Well I have until November 2023 to reach my goal of $600, $200 per artist.

It was originally four artists, but Blues64 technically doesn’t draw (only color, which doesn’t really count as art to me) so he’s off.

Here’s a drawing I haven’t posted here in a long while.

Actually, my mom drew this. This is her first ever full-blown artwork she’s ever done.

2-3 weeks precise acryllic hand drawing, …oh my god I can’t believe I got 1-upped by my mom in terms of neatness and color creativeness. And of course, of all the least known people I’d expect to get envious about their artwork, my own mother who never draws.

I will have to admit, my art style is unorthodox and chaotic compared to every cliché traditional artists I see.

Any advice on how to stop being jealous of other artists - of their skills, popularity, successful projects, commission ernings etc.

I had asked before, it keeps plagueing my mind as no matter what I do I can seem get slichtly to their level

I hope I’m not too late to give a reply.

I try to remind myself that even the popular artists struggle like anyone else and even they make mistakes. When it comes to making art, no one exactly knows how to draw/paint something correctly when they start and everyone’s artist journey is different.

If you keep on practicing (not just doing the same thing over and over, but analyzing your work critically)and persisting, you’ll get results.

As far as Commissions go, there isn’t a perfect formula on getting people to commission you. The only thing I can say is to be active in making/ updating with art, have an appealing/readable price sheet, and eventually people will take notice and will want to buy art from you.

Hehe, pfft- I just drew Pipp as a rabbit!

I am so stuck right now on this commission, like I am almost done with it now; it only needs shaded but like its a pain to do right now with it being colder & not having the time + right mindset to draw/continue it straight away.

I don’t need to worry about a deadline but colder season = colder room = difficulty with drawing due to my joints seizing up & being in pain from being extremely numb from the cold. We don’t have heating at all either meaning drawing and doing any physical tasks are always slower & more painful to do.
