Def Leppard would be cool, but for me another concert I would like to go is for one of those mellow 90’s alt rock bands like Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Counting Crows or Dave Matthews Band, I’m a huge fan of this style of music.

It’s honestly a sub-section of rock that doesn’t get a lot of attention, which I think is just as legit as the heavier rock that defined the 90’s

On this day 12 years ago, Davy Jones, frontman of The Monkees, passes away of a heart attack after taking antacid pills. He was 66 years old.

When you’re a Monkees fan who does his research, you know what you know. And now you know, which is what truly matters!

Out of all the great new and old music I’ve heard this year so far, “Country Morning” by the English band Aviator is still my absolute favourite. What an absolutely beautiful and chill rock song! You could say it really speaks to me.

Funny though, since I live not in the country but in the suburbs :p

I personally think he’s okay. His style of pop punk is more trap infused and has hip hop elements, in other words a more contemporary sound. If you’re expecting something similar to the 90’s pop punk sound like Green Day or Blink-182 or even the early 2010’s style like All Time Low or 5 Seconds Of Summer then this isn’t that. I like some but not all his songs.

On this day 61 years ago, American country singer Patsy Cline perishes in a plane crash near the town of Camden, Tennessee in the US after performing a benefit concert for a local radio DJ who died in a car accident a month prior. Also killed in the crash were fellow country singers Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins and the pilot. Cline would be one of the first country artists to cross over to the mainstream with her 1961 Top 20 hit “I Fall To Pieces” and other subsequent songs that would also become hits in the pop charts. She was 30 years old.

You know, I initially thought that the Beatles were something similar to the modern pop artists, as in their music was good but not like, super crazy good and their reputation as legendary musicians came more from their massive fanbase

Needless to say, this was my reaction after listening to Eleanor Rigby for the first time
