I quite like people.

I’ve always find them irritable and annoying to listen to ever since I discovered that these kind of people have a general term. So that’s the name of it and since I’m full of their misanthropic bullshit, I’ve recently called them out right now.

Lgbtq or not, I will physically assault a human being regardless of their gender if acted disrespectful against me. Who does that to some bystander simply chilling in public?

Yeah I’m not a fan of misanthropic people either, but there are reasons why people feel that way.

For one thing, for one very important thing… absolutely essential mind you, a complete dealbreaker

I always hated Born Again Krabs even as a kid.

I know Mr. krabs can be a greedy jerk. But to see him do that thing to what could considered a surrogate son of his is just ugh.

I guess for me its okay if its Squid on Strike or that jellyfish slavery episide perhaps because its not quite betrayal. But seeing betrayal after a selfless deed is just blech.

I like to pretend the episode isnt canon. It just makes me uncomfortable.

I guess I just prefer Krabs when hes greedy like in Season 1 but hes not THAT level of greedy that seems more like what Plankton would do.

That’s the episode where Mr Krabs sells Spongebob for 62 cents right? Mr Krabs was so horrible in that episode Squidward had to defend Spongebob.

At least Squidward, you know the one person who HATES Spongebob, realized how fucked it was and called him out which had Mr. Krabs realize what he did not even a minute after the trade.

In regards to the adult space discourse on Twitter, (especially in regards to NSFW fanworks of kids content like My Little Pony, Sofia the First, Bluey and Pokémon, especially bc of these tweets) I really wish that Transformers, Barbie, G.I. Joe, Josie and the Pussycats (or the whole Archieverse), Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, Osomatsu-kun and iCarly should stay for kids and families and not make any adult versions of it beyond the Y7/PG rating.

If people are not allowed to make NSFW fanworks of kids properties without any constant drama against it, then why Bayformers, iCarly 2021, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, Riverdale, Osomatsu-san, Amazons/Black Sun, PR2017 or any other adult version of kids shows get made with no problem?

At least Powerpuff got rightfully called out for being an adult version of a kids show even though I don’t hate live action.

One thing I think that hurts discussion about adaptations of media is when people claim that adhering to the source material should be done to appease the fanbase.

Like the Halo show being bad because it dishonored the fans.

While I tend to agree adaptations should follow source material, I think the defense is said wrongly.

It shouldn’t be about long time fans or newcomers. It should be about honoring the spirit of the original, not some focus grouped opinions based on fans who may or may not be wrong.

If you want to defend a game from being butchered don’t say it’s about you. That comes off as subjective and selfish to some. Say it’s about integrity.

Feel that with the Netflix Avatar, and I’m one of the biggest fans. I mean it’s pretty much impossible to beat or be the original anyway. Not even its own sequel could do it.

Flygon is overrated. It doesnt need a mega. Salamence deserved it more.

The Fallout show is just not that good. It fine. But it’s not amazing.

My general opinion of the show has basically been summed up with “neat”.

It’s a lot like the Warcraft movie. Lots of references and there’s been a lot of care put in to make it feel like the thing it’s based off, but it’s nothing spectacular.

Years ago I watched a TEDTalk about television ratings and it’s basically the only talk that’s ever stuck because it’s so applicable. Basically on a ratings scale of 1-10 in viewer surveys, the bulk of all shows are on average a 6-8 out of ten. There’s an absolute desert of shows that are rated a 2-5. At 1 and 2 out of ten are the shows “so bad you HAVE to see them” but all the rest are the endless filler material that just slips off of everyone’s mind if they have the TV on at the time. But shows rated at over an 8 are the shows that are the prime cultural movers that are practically “perfect”.

The Fallout show is at best in the 6-8 range, it’s fairly good with callbacks for the freaks but a lot of weird stuff to make the freaks annoyed, speaking as such a freak. But it’s writing and cinematography is lackluster and mid, with the former carried by the actors themselves. But I’ve called the writing “Whedon-esque” to friends, which has become the stylistic backwash of the Marvel and post-Marvel era of writing.

And being a 6-8 out of 10 show, it’s something I would watch only if it’s one incidentally and something I actually want to watch is coming on later.

But we also live in a world of streaming, so I have to seek it out. And it’s just not that good that I would have ever sought it out. So I wonder if everyone who has to go onto the timeline and say it’s “amazing” and “the best ever” is because by seeking it out explicitly to watch it, they have to take the crumbs of recognition and translate it into “this is a television event that I would have absolutely sought out purposefully fifteen years ago like Breaking Bad and Game Off Thrones!”

The Whedon cut of Justice League was better than the Snyder Cut. I’d rather not have to endure another late 2000s grimdark filter honestly

I would say both have their ups and downs. The Synder Cut isn’t the big masterpiece people keep calling it just because it fixed some parts of Whedon’s version while Whedon’s version has some good moments in it too.

It’s ironic. When Whedon made the Avengers films he was praised and when Batman V Superman came out it was criticized all over the place. It’s like Snyder and Whedon are the opposite of each other.
