They can fuck right off with that. Sure, streaming is more convenient in the short term, but like you said, in an era where content can just vanish for reasons outside of the consumer’s control, physical media is more important than ever.

Honestly, I think even the average consumer is starting to get wiser when it comes to how digital media is being treated. Disney recently got off their high horse and started releasing a few Disney+ shows on home media, and those have done well enough to warrant more of them being released.

I’ve never really seen the appeal behind 4K. The only benefit to me personally is that makes way for remasters that look miles better than their Blu-Ray versions (anythings better than Predator and it’s wax statues).
