At any rate, I’m liking the eldritch route, there’s a lot of potential for surreal, madness inducing plot elements in the sequel.

That’d be awesome. Imagine playing as the animatronics, but having set rules to where you couldn’t just camp out by the door.

It’d definitely have to be properly balanced. Maybe by giving the animatronics a limited set of commands and their own power source to look after. Also I don’t think something like foxy would or should be playable. Foxy’s just a rule of nature.

I don’t know if introducing a competitive human element would do well for the horror aspect of the game.

how about a more co-op oriented MP, atleast for the easily to scare people.

Hell, I’ve seen stories where it’s never fully revealed what was “behind the curtain” I feel like this series could do something like that. You know something sinister, powerful, and beyond you is control events, but you never grasp its true form.

I feel like it would be even scarier if done correctly. AI is predictable, even if it’s designed to throw you off. People? Not so much.

That could work for both competitive and cooperative multiplayer. In CO-OP you Could help the other player watch cameras and in competitive you could redirect the animatronics to screw over the other player

I’ve had a theory that the game takes place in the future and the bite of 87 is actually referring to 2087.  
Maybe in this future, the job market is so bad that 120 bucks is worth risking your life over.
