Just my opinion, but where Trump is concerned neither of those is a good option. If it’s the former, than he’s an idiot (and politicians across the political spectrum have said as much) because it’s likely impossible to do and does nothing to address actual security issues. If it’s the latter, he’s just saying inflammatory things to generate media frenzy and publicity and keep his name in the headlines, and basically treating a run for the highest political office in the United States like he’s trying to win a reality show. The sad part is, both are so plausible it’s almost impossible to figure out which it is.

The State Dept already has tests to test the religion of immigrants. And yes, closing borders to Islam stops Islamic terrorists except among those already here.

I’m not sure what you think I’m wrong about. If it’s the blocking of borders to a specific religious group, I honestly don’t see how that could ever be feasible as long as people have the ability to lie and aren’t super obvious about it. But once again, that’s my opinion based on what little I read on the subject back when it was still a big issue.
 
On the matter of Trump, however, I cannot see where I would be incorrect. There are only so many stories you can hear about the man before you begin to understand that he’s the last person on Earth who should hold a position of authority. He’s been responsible for 19 failed businesses in a 17 year stretch, sued both investors in his businesses and banks for trying to get him to pay millions he owed them, exploited bankruptcy laws to his benefit, shown blatant disregard for private property laws, has a long history of voicing “foaming at the mouth” type rhetoric in regards to political matters that he has neither the authority or understanding to comment on, and shown such a limited understanding of global economics that even organizations with an Ayn Rand like take on capitalism thought he was insane. These aren’t the qualities of a future president. These are the qualities of an aspiring Captain Planet villain.

You’ve kind of missed the point of that comment, but I don’t mind clarifying it. He once suggested instituting a 25 percent tariff on Chinese imports, a plan so completely out of touch with reality it made the Club for Growth, an organization with an Ayn Rand like love of capitalism, fear he’d literally destroy the US economy.

I like to believe that some prophets of religions created their beliefs because they truly wanted to make the world a better place and thus, created the idea of their God as a way to channel their follower’s beliefs.
 
And maybe, they work so hard on it that they start believing in it as well.

And literally every establishment candidate has to pander and grovel for money - trump’s running on his own dime. Literally every establishment candidate tries to make themselves look good to win people’s favor while Trump is just being himself and isn’t shy about admitting he sues people all the time.

Best shot at being the Republican nominee, yes. But his loyal fanbase, as large as it is, isn’t going to be able to beat those who vote for Hillary because they support her, or just because they want to spite Trump, or those who just don’t vote at all because they hate both.

After thinking about it I can say that I am an Atheist.  
I have some animism in my life narrative but I don’t really believe in the supernatural.

I had bad times in my life and I really begged for help, but got no answer. Also the fact that I simply can’t find a proof to believe in. And even if God exists, I would want a personal relationship. Not one by proxy based on faith. I don’t like uncertainty.
 
Yes, I will never be as smart as a real atheist because I have a big baggage of animism, personalizing things but that is only my error. Maybe due to my loneliness or past hurtful things I want to look at the world as a friendly place and that can include objects and ideas.
 
But it’s not enough for me to influence my life too much other than a sense of respect.

Let me tell ya, if you think atheism = smart (“as smart as a real atheist…”), that’s just a facade they like to try to advertise. Albert Einstein, Roger Penrose, C.S. Lewis and JRR Tolkein would all suggest that atheism =/= intelligence.
 
Considering what you’ve said, Einstein believed in a non-personal, somewhat pantheistic sort of god. This might interest you to read about, in any case. His metaphor of the library is absolute gold. I love it to pieces. Spend your life studying theoretical physics and you’ll only find it’s more and more true the more you learn.

Faith or lack of faith doesn’t equal intelligence in any sense, you’re right. Yet it’s not just a problem on the atheist side. You’ve got those who believe that those without faith are less intelligent.
