Also on the topic of anime, the right leaning “The West is dying, embrace Japanese” sub-section of fans/weeaboos are annoying. Especially since the majority of ones complaining about how he West is dying or trying to “taint” Japanese entertainment come cross as self-hating white Westerners trying to suck up to an idolized version of Japan.
 
Nevermind the fact that Japan isn’t as perfect and clean cut as it’s made out to be and it itself has a ton of problems too (I remember back when the BLM protests were at it’s peak and people were complaining about people in Japan taking part in the protests too, nevermind that police corruption/brutality is a worldwide issue, and that Japan’s police seem to have a history of being more rough/discriminatory towards foreigners).

The Trumpist Republican Party was not a lasting political alliance. Most congressional Republicans and voters tolerated his antics for four years for expediency’s sake, but they won’t put up with him longer than they have to.
 
I wonder if we’re not already seeing a “stab-in-the-back” mythos cropping around Trump from QAnon and other personality cultists as they try to figure out which of their erstwhile cohorts betrayed him to the enemy.

And here’s the thing, even when you have a movie, cartoon, anime, video game, book, or fan fiction that is progressive; you will have a small minority of people will complain how it’s “not progressive enough.”
