General topic for character tag categorization

Comic #83 introduces (at least, so far) “leigh stride” (not my pun :P )

Ok, just wondering, but who aliased Ginger Snap into Tag-a-long? I’m fairly certain the former was used more often than the latter.

So who are Raspberry Dazzle and Hyper Sonic?
 
Listed in episode 25 credits. Rewatching now to see if I can place them.
 
 
Tender Brush/Winter Lotus has a significant voice role.
 
 
Candidate #2 is Berry Sweet. She had a significant voice role as well.
 
 
Candidate #3 is Cotton Sky.
 
Candidate #4 is Berry Punch.
 
Candidate #5 is the filly with pink coat, purple braids, and gold eyes. I’m pretty sure this is Raspberry Dazzle.

Show me a screencap. One of them might be Lemon Crumble.
 
EDIT: She might be who the credits call “Raspberry Dazzle”, meaning Hyper Sonic is Lemon Crumble. Who are the VAs?

I am pretty sure the colt is hyper sonic. I’m also surprised the unicorn stallion (snails’ VA) didn’t get a voice credit.

Yeah these have got to be Raspberry Dazzle and Hyper Sonic. They had the key speeches that rallied the unicorns and pegasi.

I don’t know about that, best would be to wait to see a confirmation on who the characters are.

Apparently the latter has a very deep voice… Maybe they were thinking Loganberry?

Yes, indeed they are, it seems. Also, Lemon’s VA is Richard Ian Cox. So that reaffirms my theory there was a miscommunication.

Wow, this gets better and better! I couldn’t take a closer look at the credits yet, I didn’t know that we might know Lemon Crumble’s real name now! :D I asked Big Jim on Twitter for clarification. Soon we should know more.

I’d still say hold off on actually renaming her until we can confirm who Hyper Sonic was intended to be. The voice team seems to have chosen Sugar Maple (who I have previously mistaken for Loganberry)

I’m not sure if I understand what you mean. Do you think that Hyper Sonic is Sugar Maple?

I mean there seems to have been a miscommunication between the animation and voiceover departments as the identity of Hyper Sonic was never specified in the script (I wonder if the leaked script says anything…); the animation team chose Lemon Crumble while the voice actors recorded voicework for Sugar Maple.

And you have this theory just because Lemon Crumble’s voice sounds deeper than you would expect it from a filly? Sounds a little farfetched. For one, they definitely specify in the script how a pony with a certain name looks like, so that the animators know which pony is who. Letting the animators hang like that would be extremely unprofessional.  
Second, if what you say were true, it would mean that, according to the script, it wasn’t even Lemon Crumble who rallied the pegasi, but Sugar Maple, and that we only saw Lemon Crumble doing that because the animators screwed up and animated the wrong pony for that. Sounds a little too complex and adventurous to be true. Also, the unicorn who rallied the other unicorns is also a filly and it’s pretty much a given that she is Raspberry Dazzle, so it’s more than just likely that Hyper Sonic was envisioned by the writer as a filly, as well.  
Of course it could still be that Hyper Sonic is another pegasus with a speaking role, but I doubt that such a mix-up happened. Big Jim will confirm who Hyper Sonic is, soon.

Still waiting for an answer by Big Jim about Lemon Crumble.

Same here. I wish I hadn’t missed his Q&A. I didn’t expect he would do it already 12 hours after the Finale aired….. I really hopes he makes another one, because people have a ton of questions right now.  
And he was saying that some answers might not be satisfying, because they want to leave some things vague to keep us guessing and create our own theories, but the real name of a pony who lives in Equestria doesn’t sound like something he would hide from us.

I’d say still hold off on changing Lemon Crumble to Hyper Sonic until her VA or one of the higher ups clarifies the situation with her voice.

We don’t really need to wait any longer, after thinking it over. Still no answer by Big Jim and he hasn’t announced a new Q&A yet, but from all the background ponies who have gotten a speaking role in the Finale, Lemon Crumble and Candy Grapes had the most significant roles in the events. So of course it would be them who get credited with their names.  
And assuming something went wrong during production just because Lemon Crumble has an unexpected voice is pointless wild speculation anyway.
