That’s not true. I’m in college, and they use the standard 5 paragraphs, with the first paragraph being your introduction paragraph, three of your paragraphs being your body paragraphs, and your fifth and final paragraph being your closing paragraph. You just gotta make sure it’s at least two pages.

The 5 Paragraph essay format is the WORST POSSIBLE FORMAT.
It won’t auto fail you but if you attempt it in college classes, it’ll most likely screw you.

You won’t fail, they just want you to break the habit of a standard 5 paragraph essay. It’s almost better because you aren’t restricted to that format. And I’ve barely written any essays in college. Mostly just cried alone I mean partied with the cool kids.
That’s half true, you get the failing grade bit not for that reason, most college essays require more then the standard 5-paragraph high school format.
It’s more often by number of pages, and just five paragraphs would not fill it.
