Ah. I had somehow forgotten about that and remembered only the speculation that he enslaved the Crystal Empire because it was made up solely of earth ponies. I’m pretty sure there isn’t anything, but do you know if there is something more definitive?
Nothing anywhere suggests that, the opposite in fact - it’s been speculated that the reason there are no Crystal Unicorns is that Sombra killed them all.
Maybe her two favorite stallions are showing off their affection for her in this piece~
