The best way to retaliate for making her put on a humiliating sexy outfit is to make him do the same :D
(Also I don’t know what most of that stuff he’s wearing is called, I just Googled “harem girl outfits” and worked off of that. Tagging help would be appreciated :P)
@Badumsquish
(I dont know that we should move it to messages. xD) Its always interesting with your ideas and thoughts. Peoples like us make these creatures to more mysterious and more sophisticated persons. Make people think and make them live. ^^
@Bluesliver The sphinxlover
An idea that I’ve been tossing around too is that they value knowledge above all else. So a sphinx would respect someone who sought knowledge for the sake of it, but at the same time despise people who seek knowledge for the sake of power or fame or money or people who try to limit or censor knowledge (even if that knowledge is dangerous) :D
@Badumsquish
Yeah, same. They have there own style and culture. Special rules and always love to tell riddles to each other. The ability to use riddles is a way to show inteligence and knowlegde. Words is stronger than the sword, as you know. :D
Its also a bit the same i have with my thoughts about sphinxes. I see them as very powerful creatures, that some is even more powerful than alicorns. But most of them follow some special rules there make them more weak, or to show there status. But to give them some kind of weaknes, i came up with this:
When a sphinx is old enough to take care of it self, it need to find its own pice of land it can rule over. It can be every kinds of place, even close to a city. When it has found a good place to live in, it use its tail to make border in the sand or ground, so it change color. Then it have its own land, but its of course limt of how big it can be. Some can expand them over time, if they become strong enough from magic or there succes in there land. Here comes the big weaknes: If the sphinx leaves its land, then its magic will become more weak, and then more easy to take down.
I see sphinxes as creatures there defend there own territory, and not as conquerors, even if some of them is like that.
And yes, i was inspired by your words, when you came up with the idea that a sphinx chooces its own pice of land and declares them as lord over it. xP
@Bluesliver The sphinxlover
Basically, Dragonball Z had this like INSANE power disparity between the Saiyans (this human-like alien species) and literally every other character. So basically like the only characters who could do anything were the Saiyans because the enemies they fought were so absurdly powerful that none of the non-Saiyan characters could do anything to them XD
So I’ve done it so Sphinxy is crazy powerful, like could probably take Princess Celestia to school in a straight fight, but her big weakness is she follows rules. I haven’t decided if that’s like just honor on her part or if her powers are actually limited by it like knowing Rumplestiltskin’s name so like if you beat her at her game she has no choice but to surrender. That way anyone can fight her XD
@Badumsquish
Now i dont know anything from Dragon ball, so im not sure what we talking about here. xD But yeah, Sphinx small riddle games is some of the best. So much fun, so many times where things goes weird from your creative mind. xD
@Bluesliver The sphinxlover
Realistically, yeah, but this show only cares about you if you have some sort of destined power. It’s like they Saiyans from Dragonball Z. It’s why I love the “Sphinxy treats the riddle thing as a game with rules” concept XD
@Badumsquish
Hisan is also a prince of a Pharaoh. If his personality is based on ancient princes, then he would have got a expensive education in military and religion. That also explain how brave he was to fight against the sphinx in the show and have a army behind him. For me, he is a character there should get the same attention as Somnambula. For as we know, he still played a important part, both in the show and the comics. ^^
@Background Pony #8CE6
Probably eventually. I really want to get back to the whole Monsterpedia concept that I’ve just left untouched, at least in that encyclopedia-infodump format, for years, and doing a sphinx would be a perfect way to do that :D
@OneSpooky
It’s definitely something she could force him to do. Fun fact, Hisan has NEVER won a single riddle game: he’s just terrible at them. It’s part of why she can’t help but also be nice to him since she’s starting to feel guilty that he keeps trying to stand up to her but just can’t win XD
:P
That may not end well
:D
Thank you, Badum! It really means a lot to me. :D
Yeah, same with you :D

Creatures with morals and living philosophers. Once again, Badumsquish is full of ideas and inspirations! :D

It sounds good to me. I really do think they’d be like dragons where they were aloof rather than just “evil” :D
I see that now. xD

Really, she’s neither. I’d put her down as lawful neutral :D
So is sphinxy good evil or in between, glad to see she will fight fair and not cheat

Now you got me thinking of princess Hersan in the exact situation as our favorite boy toy here, feeding Sphinx grapes XD
Aw thank you! :D
@Background Pony #8CE6
If you’re interested in OCs, this one is strictly a Greek sphinx :D
