Pixel Doodle on the MLP New Gen Movie Characters, plus my Dragon OC Humanized and a Changeling. What’s with the Different Color Palettes and the ‘Fantasia’/‘So-Jo-Ko-Ka’/‘Blue-Star PlayPlaza’/‘Crown Control’ Thing yuo ask? It’s to help challenge myself with different Custom Color Limitations based on the Retro Consoles. From top to bottom is the Evolution from 8-bit to 32-bit.

It's bad. In a good way!
It’s not that having more colors to use makes the latter ones look worse, but rather that you used more color on them than was ever needed. I know this wasn’t for that, but this does do a good and helpful job of showing that pillow shading is more effort for a worse result. That less can be better. That’s neat.
