🤦‍♂️ Because they are. I’ve told you this before: Twilight did what she did out of a temporary bout of insanity. Starlight had no such problem. I honestly don’t understand how you think they’re that similar. Furthermore, what happened to Starlight that made her do what she did happened when she was just a little filly and, therefore, she’s had years of preparation; what happened to Twilight happened on the same day she decided to cast the spell. She was also stopped on the same day as well. Starlight, on the other hand, we never were told how long, exactly, it had been since she turned Our Town into what it was when the Mane 6 came calling. Now, if you don’t mind, I am officially done with you and this argument.
PS: if you reread your previous comments and still don’t think you come off as a troll, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Again - the only difference between Starlight’s and Twilight’s acts was that Twilight had a more powerfull figure that stopped her. Both did what their did because of emotions and I really don’t undestand why da hey you count them as some radically different situations.

To be honest, your wink wink thing comes out as smarmy and most people would take it the wrong way.
Is a terrible way to either argue or try to cut arguing, no matter the arguments, it gives the idea you are not willing to understand the other party.

No, she’s changed alright. She is, indeed, a far better pony than she was when she first met the Mane 6. I was just saying that unlike Twilight, who snapped under the mental strain she placed on herself, Starlight was in full control of herself when she planned out Our Town and the time travel incident. Was it ever actually stated just how long the planning stages for Our Town took? How long it took to create that cutie mark stealing spell? How long it took to convince her fellow villagers to see things her way? All I’m saying is, Twilight (Lesson Zero) was out of control and Starlight (Our Town) wasn’t. That’s really all it was.

Not my fault you utterly failed to express your opinion in a way someone could understand. (and no, your ‘wink, wink’ crap wasn’t expressing your opinions, it just made you look like a holier-than-thou smartass. And I have a tough time understanding smartass. I just zone right out.)
@WaynePonePone
Look, I get it: you’re used to people exhibiting mindless Starlight hate. And that bias has prevented you from seeing where I was going and what I was trying to say. It wasn’t about Starlight being a former villain character, or Twilight being a hero.

And? Misguided or not, past issues or not, Starlight chose to do what she did. That makes her ‘cult thingy’ worse than the “Want It, Need It” incident. What are you even trying to get at here?

yes, but, again: Twilight had snapped and wasn’t in full control of herself when she cast the spell on Ponyville. Starlight was in control of herself when she created her cult.

@Valiant Spiral
The worst thing Starlight did was creating her cult thingy. Twilight took whole town under control with a spell, the only different is that Twilight got some higher power that stopped her.
Speaking of time-travel, Glimmer didn’t know about what she was doing, and literally broke up when saw the wasteland.
She wanted to take revenge - yes. Destroy the world? No.
