What do you mean? In season 5, she was so passionate about her plan. In Cutie Remark, I loved how her VA emoted when explaining her motives and intentions to Twilight. It was a great mixture of confidence, determination, independence and malevolence. After she was reformed, she was filled with nothing but self doubt and insecurities. I didn’t mind that because they changed her life goal from “getting revenge on fate” to “trying to make friends.” I get that and Starlight’s accomplished that already. She has made a lot of friends so… what now? In season 7, its like she’s just there.
 
I could say the same about the mane 6, though but they’ve been around longer than Starlight has.

She’s more emotional in S07 than she was in S06, unless it was opposite day when you wrote that.

I don’t know, she’s still full of emotions, hell, I even think she’s one of most emotional character in the show right now. and she got alot confident after S6 finale as well. and even after graduation, she’s still doing her things and learn something from it. her character progression is still on going. calling her current state plain and boring then praising evil Starlight’s character just doesn’t sound right to me. but hey, it’s your opinion.

I actually liked the evil Starlight. She was so confident and full of emotions. The reformed Starlight, at least in season 7, is just plain boring for me. Its like she has nothing going on.
