Yeah, I apologize for the jump to conclusions there. I had some additional reason for thinking it was you, but fuck if I can remember what it was now. Silliness.
I happen to think the description is of particular relevance in this case, since it talks about the point of the piece, which is not necessarily obvious when it stands on its own.
But there are lots of times the tumblr or DA close down. Not so much a problem on other sites, but drama-magnet sites have a way of driving artists off.
No, as a matter of fact, I wasn’t the uploader. If I were, I’d make sure to tag it as properly as I could, of course, giving the source. On that much I agree with you, that’s why I often make such a big deal out of sourcing over tagging. My point is that the original description isn’t as essential to the upload as the tags and the source are. Now that you’ve so kindly given the proper source, it is just one click away.
Or maybe you weren’t, and maybe it was Kein, as Best Princess informs me on the TNG Twilight picture.
The description wasn’t actually a click away until I fixed the source, incidentally. It was two clicks away. :P
You were the uploader, right? And the uploader of the dupe Twilight in the TNG uniform. Both of which I had to fix the tags on. I stand by my assessment. artist:cosmicunicornscribbles? Really?
Just saying, it’s not like the original post description is lost forever just because it’s not here. Again, it’s just one click away.
But that’s what the DESCRIPTION field is for!
Or you could, you know, go to the source that’s one click away and read it there.
Sometimes (maybe not this time, but still) the giant wall of text many art descriptions have takes too much space and distracts from the art itself. That’s what makes Cartuneslover’s stuff look more obnoxious than it would otherwise.
Priorities I guess… Hahaha.
To poke fun at this trend in pony art, here is a sketch of Cadance with a more-rendered rear. Dat flank.”
I wish we could edit the description after the image is uploaded. Uploader is a bit of a failure.
