MAF-FIX-WILL
Signs: “Mare-Fix-Well” (shortened to “MarFixWell”)
That’s lazy.
@TexasUberAlles
You may be over-thinking it.
I love the not-quite-legible fonts they use; it makes it look like everything is being seen in a dream where written language doesn’t work quite right, or like it’s a lampshading that they’re not speaking Human and we’re just hearing/seeing the local translation.
Perhaps artist is simply bad speller?
Nah, I don’t think there’s any consistent method behind it, like the alien alphabets in Futurama; they’re just putting in scrambled text-like shapes to stand in for text but which doesn’t need to be re-edited for other markets.
Some nerd with enough times on their hands might be able to. Not saying that it would be a walk in the park, but still.
They bounce between it and English, so I doubt we could translate it if we tried.
On these signs it most likely says “Mare Do Well”, but still.
