“…my eyes hurt.”
You made a cute face”:3”
Also, I’m sure Shimmer-chan can figure out a way to get down from there using her Equestrian Knowledge! :3
It’ll be one hell of a gun, but boy is it going to be a hassle to use.
‘‘Did you say Browning? And Nanbu? Huh.’’
“…I know which one of you I’m letting design my pistol.”
I hope they do. I love how Sanger Sonvolt’s reaction on meeting Haken Browning and Nanbu Kaguya (from Super Robot Taisen Endless Frontier was, “Did you say Browning? And Nanbu? Huh.” And his reaction to Reiji Arisu and Xiaomu (from Namco X Capcom) being, “You two seem familiar…”
The joke of course being that both pairs are expies of his comrades Kyousuke Nanbu and Excellen Browning.
Also, Project X Zone was a good example of how fun it is when someone from one universe runs into someone or something he knows while in an AU. In PXZ’s case, Sanger and Kaguya both use the swordstyle Zankantou (Ship Cleaving Sword).
They do, but often the games normally treat all the Universal Century characters as being somewhat contemporary. They normally justify the huge leaps and bounds in tech (e.g. going from the original Gundam to the Nu Gundam and beyond) by claiming the mechanics and engineers are inspired by the other factions (e.g. transformable MS like the Zeta Gundam being inspired by the Valkyries of Macross) or borrow tech from other series (e.g. the Photoatomic Research Lab and Saotome Labs from Mazinger Z and Getter Robo help refine MS tech to make tougher and more efficient machines).
I think SRW Alpha Gaiden was the first where they played with Universal Century characters meet with alternate universe characters (Turn A and Gundam X being a possible future in that game). But the example I mentioned is the first time characters have met alternative versions of people they know, if I’m not mistaken.
i was going to draw simular comic but a teacher from below yelling at sunset as why the heck she doing up there xD.
Don’t some of the Super Robot Taisen games have characters from the original Gundam TV series fighting alongside V Gundam kids who were 70+ Universal Century years away from them?
Heh. I remember something like that in one of the Super Robot Wars games. A group of characters who know the cast of Eureka Seven go to a world where they meet the AU counterparts of the Eureka Seven crew, and one girl can’t stop laughing at the sight of Annemone, the spoiled brat they know, being around 80 years old.
I just assume they’re all younger then their pony counterparts. Except the CMC, who are older, and teens also apparently. Ages don’t have to be consistent in A.U.s.
Counterparts in the Human world and Equestria’s ages seems to be a bit wonky.
I always thought pony Photo Finish was supposed to be in her late 20s to some where in her 40s or possibly in her 60s, the age of Anna Wintour at the time of the episode being first aired, and meant to be older than the mane six since she’s apparently had time to become famous as a fashion designer throughout Equestria. Her Human World counterpart on the other hand is clearly in her teens since she attends CHS.
Then there’s the more obvious problems with Luna and Celestia. There’s nothing to indicate Human Luna and Celestia are in anyway being magically sustained somehow and over a thousand years old. Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna are probably somewhere in their thirties or early forties at the most.
It could maybe be explained as one generation of ponies or particular amount of time in Equestria equating to a single semester of school at CHS to try to get to match up with Celestia and Luna’s reigns as Princess’s in equestria and explain the age differences, but it still would come out not matching up properly. There’s also the problem that it would mean that years would pass in Equestria when only months would pass in the Human world.
I really don’t think the writers tried to connect or otherwise match up the Human and Pony version’s ages in a coherent manner. It’s probably just makes more sense to say they aren’t.
The only other alternative I can think of is that the Mirror works in a way that causes time between the two worlds to get out of sync the longer it isn’t used. Since presumably it almost never was used before Sunset Shimmer went through it, time went much faster in Equestria than it did in the Human World until Sunset Shimmer resynchronized them. This would explain why Celestia and Luna’s counterparts aren’t dead or somehow immortal, but still doesn’t explain why there would be Human counterparts to all of Equestria’s current inhabitants decades or centuries ago when the mirror was last used.
But he doesn’t quite have a Cutebottom.
He is, and don’t call him Shirley.
Surely you can’t be serious!
I just want to tell you both good luck; we’re all counting on you.
I got the [_____] implication”:/953613#comment_4114435
…I wonder where’n the heck the “definitely” went?
‘‘Lock Up Securely’’
I got the implication that she was locking up the library for the day so she could make a TY-Y7 booty call, and just didn’t notice SS about to have a musical theater moment.
Considering the “click” sound effect and the title being “Lock Up Securely”, I’d say it’s more accurately Cheerilee unknowingly locked Sunset out.
The door slammed shut and apparently can’t be opened from the outside.
It’s kind of like a alternate ending to the Equestria Girls short, My Past is not Today.
