Kia makes a simple thing like changing wiper blades a pain in the ass. You can’t just lift up the wiper arms like on a normal vehicle. The arms don’t clear the hood. You have to turn the car on, then off, then hold up the wiper stalk to set the arms into “maintenance mode.” Then you wrestle with wipers that have to be designed to accommodate about 9 different attachment methods because for some reason manufacturers can’t standardize that shit.

My previous car was a Hyundai with a regular torque converter automatic. I never had a problem with it. The Kia has a DCT. I can cope with it and if anything goes seriously wrong, I expect Kia to honor their warranty. It’s just annoying having to be extra gentle.
