I almost got laid in a dream last night. What?! It feels great to be seduced and desired, even if it’s just a dream. Unfortunately I woke up right before sex.
On other news, I walked 8 km distance today; it was -30 degrees Celsius outside, I was wearing clothing more suitable for 0 degrees C. Yes, a rational person would say that’s stupid. But hey, i’m masochistic + gotta pretend to be tough to build self esteem. It is kinda working!

I just got my Blue & Gold Scholarship in, which was an academic success benefits scholarship that I got for not being a complete fuck up in high school. Frilly stuff, would be the very first of my financial aid to get pulled.
Meaning that there’s no way I’m losing any financial aid. I’m so fucking happy.

Maybe Texas isn’t a complete failed abortion of a state after all.

I did not have Home Economics, but I was lucky enough to have to learn Texas Gun Laws in class, which are of 0 help to me right now because I don’t have the intention of owning a firearm for a while and they are constantly changing because our politicians don’t care about any laws that don’t have to do with guns or immigration. When I will need this knowledge, it’s just going to be because educators in Texas are required to have one hidden in the classroom and take firearm courses in the event of a school shooting, but hey, those laws I learned in school would be complete irrelevant by then. Most already are as of today with the new open carry thing.
Home Economics would be a lot more beneficial even in a gun crazy place like Texas, though, that way people wouldn’t be so fucked when they get on their own like they are now. My grandparents taught me a lot of the stuff one would learn in a Home Ec class, and now I have to help many of my friends at college manage their finances and write up their budgets and even cook every once in a while because they have no clue how to take care of themselves.
At least they know gun laws in this state, though. I’m sure that’s just as valuable as the things I’m having to take time out of my day to help them do because I’m one of the very few who had these things taught to me as part of my upbringing.

When you made the comparison to sex ed., laws, regulations and safety precautions weren’t the first things that came to mind. Then again the state of sex ed. in the U.S. is disastrous in its own right.
And no, home economics is not a required subject in most American schools. I even had to explain to my husband and friends what home economics means.
