- Unlike most groups, ISD expects some level of intelligence from its forum users. Read the description on the main page of the group.
If it’s the challenge of “why… why are we shipping this” you’re looking for, I know that the Crack Ships Inc. and Random Romance groups regularly have prompts/contests/things/TrixTomOTP.
Avoid the ‘Shipping’ group (the one with about 5000 members or more) at all costs! It doesn’t produce anything useful.
Most shipping groups dedicated to a single pairing (eg AppleDash, Flarity, etc) also have a prompt thread somewhere.
I’m not sure if sixtyminutes tumblr prompts (and its NSFW counterpart, sextyminutes) are still a thing. I also saw a bunch of stories for some EQD Training Ground thing a month or so ago; nothing says that you can’t do any of them after the deadline has expired (if there even is one).
That’s the ones I can think of from the top of my head. Of course, you’re always free to set your own challenges. Or, if you want to practice just making words but want something more to go on than just one sentence for an idea (maybe you’re out of inspiration, idunno), I totally do not have some fairly detailed (read: over 20k of unpublished things) lying around.
… I should really write more things myself. I have no problem typing up forum posts like this or detailed fic ideas, and what I published so far was generally received not-terrible.

And Brother I Hurt People 
Remember the early days of Livejournal where fanfiction challenges were rampant? The ones where you found yourself writing 100 shipfics, or writing one fanfic a day for ten days? I haven’t seen one in ages. Is there one that anyone can point me in the direction of, or should I make my own?

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
