). I also spotted a bug that was causing it not to restore emoticon aliases when editing a post. I’ve fixed that too. The script will also properly handle escaping of quotes and backticks, so you can do this: "" and it won’t look like this: “:raritystarry:”
Example:

Alright, i think i figured it out: they are working on the forums too, but it seems like the presence of the reply code in a post breaks the emoticons.
It’s only working in this particular post because the link was already rendered when i went back to edit and add the reply code.

I’m on mobile, but will check what the issue is tomorrow.
They should have been just fine, assuming the site converts textile image embeds correctly.

So, as you can see, the Markdown change broke all the emoticons.

The script doesn’t seem to be working anymore for comment sections - forum posts and PMs work just fine, though.

Something I forgot to mention: If you haven’t already, make sure you go to Settings > Advanced, and toggle this option to “content”:
Otherwise the script may not function at all. I believe both Chrome and Violentmonkey have the same option in much the same place.

1.15 has just been released! Fixed a hooffull of styling bugs, and you no longer require another addon to change derpibooru’s CSP.
The script should work without modification. Though I wasn’t able to test it in Chrome as that browser crashes immediately upon startup.

I forgot to keep myself updated with this thread. Glad the smilies work for Firefox now.

Try the solutions for changing derpibooru’s CSP I detailed in the OP. Issue is that the css isn’t being applied or was blocked.

TamperMonkey updated itself today and suddenly no longer works as intended (the two text boxes and the emoticon arrangement didn’t align next to, but strew out in a string underneath the text boxes). I tried doing a little research why but I’m not savvy enough to determine the problem, but I installed ViolentMonkey for Chrome instead and seems to have no problems.

Tested multiple times and ways, exited Chrome, logged out, logged back in, removed my previous method to make it work…
Your fix works!

Default search
If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
