Come to think of it, Creationism (or a variation thereof) might be an acceptable belief in the MLP-verse. Remember that this is a world where nature (presumably) does not control itself, the ponies and others have to do all the work of making rain and snow, changing the seasons, caring for “wild” animals, moving the sun and the moon, among other things. In fact, places like the Everfree Forest (which us humans would see as a “normal” forest) is stated as being alien and unnatural to the ponies.
So if ponies believe that nature cannot control itself, then it stands to reason that they might believe in some sort of Creator God. Of course, this opens up a giant can of worms requiring explanations i will not bother to write, this is just some food for thought.

That’s what I think, too.

@Dogman15
Maybe that’s just how Moses interpreted it. God might’ve said it took seven days and Moses thought that God was talking about an earth day. They didn’t know much about astronomy way back then, so Moses just wrote what he thought God was trying to say.

@illuminati
Not necessarily. If there was a dead planet roaming around in the darkness of space between galaxies, one rotation would still be considered a day for that planet. Not to mention there are places on earth where, during certain times of year, it is constantly light or dark 24 hours a day.

It doesn’t say how long those “days” were, though. A day is calculated by the rotation of a celestial object, but the earth wasn’t formed yet, so it wasn’t calculated by the earth’s time. Earth, in early development, had a different day length than today anyway.

Look, I don’t believe in god and both young earth and old-earth creationism involving god to make universe exist.

PS: I don’t have a mood to debate about anything, let alone about religion. So if you try to start a debate, I might respond to you jokingly just like my first comment that reply to you

You confused? please check that I used “:P” emoticon. That mean I am joking not being serious to “voicing my opinion” nor “argue/debate with you”

Although I am more than capable to disprove both young earth and old-earth creationism. But the last thing that I want is another heated debate about religion.

i’m confused. on one hand, you’re replying to my comment, but on the other hand, you aren’t making any actual points, so there’s nothing for me to reply to. so i’m not sure if you’re trying to argue/debate with me, or just … voicing your opinion and not looking for further discussion?

  1. Young-Earth Creationism is what most people think of when they hear “creationism”, a literal six-day creation process.
  2. Old-Earth Creationism is the belief that God created the world, but not in six literal days. some just accept the [current] scientific model, some think the word יום was meant to be “eras”/“ages” instead of “days”, etc.

    personally i believe in Young-Earth, but there’s no reason someone can’t believe in the Bible and [insert ““scientific”” view] here at the same time :) the first chapter of Genesis isn’t as clear-cut as many skeptics think it is.

I'm not famous.
The days of creation in Genesis are specifically described as having an evening and a morning.
