Outside of maybe a “damn” here or there, I don’t really see either show getting more “adult” in the future.

Honestly, I’m just glad we’re getting a Superman product that actually understands what Superman is. He’s not a sad loner like Batman, nor is he a ticking villain time-bomb just waiting to explode. He’s a goofy-ass charismatic dude who would unironically save a cat from a tree, because he’s that pure-hearted.

Like at that point just adapt Irredeemable. That’s what the Plutonian is; time bomb went off superman.

It’s less the shows weren’t comedies, and moreso CN’s target demo isn’t watching TV as often thanks to Streaming/Tiktok. Someone at Warner thought it was a good idea to send them over to AS since it’s doing better there. It’s a bummer because I’d like to see them give action cartoons another genuine shot before linear TV gets phased away.

Outside of a few PG-V instances, Unicorn could’ve aired during the evening/afternoon hours of CN. Same with My Adventures with Supes. It feels weird seeing it as an Adult Swim Show. I can see Harley Quinn, Young Justice and some of the DTV movies on there, but something light like Supes should’ve been on for CN during the day.

I feel bad for kids. They aren’t getting the good cartoons. They might try to watch Adult Swim to do so.

I would prefer it if kids had quality cartoons that were still apropriate for them like Adventure Time or Teen Titans. I hope CN realizes this.

Cartoons aren’t just for kids true, but kids still are a big part of the demographic.

I don’t know if they are anymore. There’s a real possibility the only people watching cartoons are millenials and maybe some gen x ers.

Kids have youtube and tiktok now, and from everything Ive heard that’s what they gravitate toward. That and the occasional Netflix show like Wednesday.

I don’t know what the numbers are, but I wouldn’t be surprised if kids aren’t very high on them.

Sigh, thats kinda sad. Seriously cartoons were the thing that brought me up as a kid. The world really has changed.

If I ever have kids I think I’ll keep them off that stupid Tik Tok and even Youtube for awhile. I’ll give em good cartoons even if it has to be from the 2000s.

TikTok is full of shit about how buildings past 150 years of age are actually remnants of a hidden empire the world governments want to, and somehow can, keep secret for uh….whatever reasons the tiktoker made up. Or how Rome was actually made up and never existed.

Maybe cartoons gotta get into that. I think Lackadaisy would be a good cartoon for teens, not too mild but not too edgy either.

Another Kid Icarus game getting released and selling well, as well as a couple more Nintendo properties getting their own films first.

KI is still one of the lesser known Nintendo properties.

Fan request is a large part, yes. Not many better ways for a corporation to realize “Hey, we can make money from this” than people telling Nintendo they’ll pay to see it.

Which again means that Kid Icarus needs the popularity first. The latest Mario movie does show Nintendo is interested in making their IP into movies again, but them using Mario to do it was a no brainer.

Nintendo adapting their big franchises like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Kirby, and needing to search through the pile for something else to adapt.

Kinda like how Marvel did it after Avengers.

Sad but not surprising Elemental is crashing and burning. You don’t open against a controversial blockbuster when its underperformance ends up taking the whole slate down with it, even with better reviews and word-of-mouth than said blockbuster.
