Well, for one thing they named the city the show takes place in “Earthquake heights” which can come off as offensive because it’s a natural disaster that killed several people in Mexico.

That’s just some of the reasons why critics on social media aren’t happy with this show.

I kinda feel bad for the show. I guess I dont know the stereotypes. Still it did look fun to me.

Hopefully they fix those issues if they deserve to be fixed.

Thanks to the Mario movie, I have a habit of chuckling like Seth Rogen.

My 2000s zoomer brain just got a flashback to childhood memories!

Dang I always thought this show was the fogotten middle child compared to the first and the third shows.

I hope it has that Lost Season that was supposed tk finish the show.

Now all I need are the TMNT, Battle Nexus, and Mutant Nightmare games rereleased and the world will know true awesomeness.

I for one hope Turtles Forever gets a new master here, with the movie in proper widescreen (the original release is fullscreen) and with the missing footage cut from the TV version added back in.

Oh, and I hope the episodes are in proper order this time, unlike the cursed Funimation DVDs.

Agreed.

In fact, one of the scenes cut, I remember was the original 87 turtles calling out the newer ones, which they probably should of kept, as it may of eased the fan criticism that they overly parodied the 87 turtles in “Turtles Forever.”

It wasn’t forgotten, just wrappend up in alot of legal tape from 4Kids, Fox, Nickelodeon, and such.

The Cowabunga Collection did feature screenshots from every episode though.

From what I’ve read, Ninja Tribunal was paused because 4Kids deemed it “too dark” and felt Fast Forward would accrue more interest (this was around the same time as the “Insane in the Membrane” fiasco). It wasn’t until after FF ended that 4Kids decided to finish the season with some minor changes, though they chose to have it put out on DVD first before airing it.

One episode didn’t get finished at all: it would’ve featured the return of Garbageman and it would’ve revealed he and Hun were conjoined twins who were horrifically separated by a shady surgeon. Baby Garbageman would then be called “garbage” and thrown away in a dumpster.

I can’t imagine kids would not be horrified by that.

Yeah, there was alot of issues with 4Kids. Surprisingly they let TMNT get away with more then their anime dubs.

Is the banned “Insane in the Membrane” episode going to be on the DVD?

Considering it was on DVD previously and is available digitally, yeah, most likely.

It’s so weird to hear people say non-Disney studios are having a boom period when none of their non-IP original films aren’t doing well, either. Ruby Gillman is tracking to do even worse than Elemental. Being on a dump month doesn’t help.

I saw people talking about that new Superman show on Adult swim…

Looks very meh, especially for Adult Swim.

It, alongside the new Genndy Tartakovsky show, was meant for Cartoon Network, but I guess because they weren’t 11 minute wacky/goofy Teen Titans Go rip-offs, they got moved to Adult Swim at the last minute.

As if Cartoon Network wasn’t already lacking enough in programming choices.

To me; Superman comes off as too goofy like how Klark acts. That is what an alter ego is. It’s a feigning of one’s true self to not draw suspicion. Klark is the goofy meek mask he wears and Superman his the charismatic, strong hero who is really is.

I can already see a lot of the plot points, and there was a show that already did them and most likely better.

Seriously. This show was so good, they redid the Batman show to take Bruce out of the 40’s and into the present day of the early 90’s to team up with Superman.

I wonder if either or the shows will take advantage of the fact they’re on adult swim in season 2.

I’d love to see an Slightly edgier superman cartoon. Not full man of steel though. Id rather clark not just be Batman again.

It’s allegedly looking at a 8 million box office opening week.

It’s Sonys cartoon world now, we just all live in it. _{Until they make the next emoji movie anyway.}

Sony doesn’t even have a non-IP box office hit to boast about ‘cause they dumped Mitchells to Netflix during Covid. Audiences seem to not want original non-IP work anymore (DreamWorks’ The Bad Guys did fine but that was because Secrets of Dumbledore and Morbius ate shit and audiences were starving for something before Top Gun: Maverick).

Kinda ironic because people keep complaining about nothing being original anymore.
But I mean if you have to pick something to get an expensive movie ticket and overpriced snacks on, you’re probably gonna choose the thing you remember you liked from your past than something you’ve never heard of.
