Why wouldn’t the kids want both kinds of movies? It’s kind of funny that only the adults want ponies more than humans.

Kids do want both kinds of movies. It’s just that one demographic is much more likely to go to the movies/less likely to watch a series on TV.
 
EqG’s demographic is one of, if not the least likely, to sit down on a Saturday morning and watch a TV show.

EqG is considered Hasbro’s “response” to Mattel’s Monster High.Of course,they don’t have to say it right at our faces,Hasbro’s actions speak for themselves.

Remember how when we caught wind of Equestria Girls I, everyone laughed it off in the beginning?
 
Ponies in High School? Hideous same body designs and ugly clothing? Spike being a dog? A vapid love interest with a creepy similarity to Twilight’s brother? Like that would happen, troll harder faggot, 0/10?
 
Well, all that came true, so more then likely this is real. I don’t want to believe it’s real, but you’ve burned me too many goddamn times Hasbro!

I hope they make atleast one fim movie.

Rainbow Dash should be thankful that her loyalty isn’t being tested like this.

So allegedly there is going to be some sort of battle of the bands thing, and call me cynical but I really doubt that what they’re going to be playing is going to be rock, which will automatically piss me off as I am a pedantic rock snob.
 
That aside, FUCKING WHY?! I know, I know. Money. But jumping Jesus fucking Christmas Christ on crutch going uphill to school both ways WHY?!
 
Ok, maybe they learned from their mistakes last time. Maybe they’ll actually put effort into making the movie entertaining. Maybe if I try really hard I can flap my arms and fly under my own power.

It sells really, really, well. That’s why. It sells so well because it’s tailor-made for the exact target demographic it is aimed at.
 
Not really that hard to figure out.

And you know it’s going to be chock full of forced memes and references, tailor-made for the periphery demographic. Like a review for the first movie said, they’re going to have to jerk us off to hold our attention.

This is what I get for putting faith in children. I’ve always believed that if you give kids quality, they can be capable of appreciating it. That kids don’t need to be written down or pandered to. That quality doesn’t have a target demographic.
 
Apparently I was wrong, as that last hulking pile of crap did well enough to warrant a sequel. Turns out kids are just a bunch of moronic little ingrates who will let you shovel shit on them until the cows come home.

Pretty much. They’re really not that smart, quality in cartoons comes from when the adults who make it know other adults are watching.
 
At least EqG was better than Dragon Quest or any episode by Williams save for HWE.

They don’t get marketed to because they aren’t immensely profitable to market to.

I think it’ll just be a new toyline, I think they would have announced it already if it were a new movie. Don’t think it would work, without Twilight or the presence of ponies at any point it would fail to reach any demographic.
