Shipping tags general

part of the fun of things was looking through the tags and finding what creative name it had been given. what was the reasoning for it?

I ain’t staff and it wasn’t discussed in this thread. I know as much as you do and would have voted against it unless they were aliasing it from ship:x -> x.

Tbh I don’t understand why they did that still. Maybe to make it easier to tell the difference 🤔

Because not everyone is a superfan and going to look at an image and realize that “rumbleloo” is the name of the ship between Scootaloo and Rumble and not an euphemism for a bowel movement, or that “twinkie” is the Twilight and Pinkie shipping and not about the pastry as they try to tag “twipie” or “pinkietwi” and get confused that nothing happens.

The “silly and fun” name is still there, just prefaced for everyone’s ease of use.

Added the implications and short descriptions to the ships, fix Oleander x Cashmere, changed the implications for thundersparkle and made the corrections you wanted for the ships djpup3 except for this one:

I couldn’t find Creamsicle(g1) maybe this has a typo?

As always let me know if I missed anything or my fixes need fixing. haha. :D

pinebreeze needs an update; the owner (I presume) of oc:pitch pine has moved their oc tag to oc:pitch kritter pine; the implication of pinebreeze should be updated accordingly.
Also maybe do the ship: prefix.

3 ships sailed, and 1 ship fixed. Let me know if we need to steer them back to port to fix them. :D

I don’t know exactly how to append ship: to the tag. I’ll get back to you on that.

Hey we have a tag war going on for naming the shipping tag for Comet and Izzy Moonbow.

There’s a lot of back and forth adding and removing the ship names mooncomet and combow.

Just look at the tag changes in one of the images I uploaded! It’s quite something.
