I’ve seen the thread shift over time to a more general theme and that’s not a bad thing. It allows for more content.

Uh!! Thanks for the information, mein Freund. Unfortunately, I admit that I have played far too little Magic the Gathering in my life. I am therefore very grateful for this statement. And yes, the perspective is really great! As I said, I like it a lot. Gladly more of it. And/or similar. As you like. ;-)

Sometimes I regret that I didn’t call this thread Epic Thread. Or rather: Armor makes everything cooler! Every now and then I have the feeling that very few people understand that this is not just about the Royal Guard. It’s about what others on this site think is epic.

Then again, I also think to myself, most of the Appreciation Threads were only created to increase the number of contributions of the users at that time. Until the time when Derpibooru has decided to no longer display the number in profile. Ah, nevermind. I love posting good arts. And I will never stop. Grins.

I hope you feel the same way. Whenever you see something cool, epic, feel free to post it here. Personally, I appreciate it very much. As long as it is not too far off the road. (^ _ ^)

The perspective is cool, isn’t it? It’s from a custom Magic the Gathering block called Nightfall in Equestria made by the artist back in 2014.

I think I like Thunder and Zoom already. Much! They carry on the proud Royal Guard tradition of being mistreated, disrespected and misunderstood. Hach. Some things never change. ;-)

(grin) Bean mouth, true, that’s a pretty fitting description. And I can understand what you mean. In fact, there would certainly be better methods of graphic design, but I don’t mind that in this more or less pointless stringing together of silly puns and gacks in a short 5 minute cartoon format.

I like too much the lightheartedness and naive charm that I think MLP has always had. And maybe I’m not so into the characters that I can decide for myself whether the show’s creators should really be criticized when they try out new things. Might as well make fun of G4’s numerous animation errors. Oh… Wait. (just have to pause the LittleshyFiM’s Cinemare Sins: Everything Wrong With video in the background) ;-)

I think TYT is probably taking a bit of a cue from series like Steven Universe or Star vs The Forces of Evil when it comes to design. Not completely identical, of course, which is probably also due to the (also probably) not very high financing by Hasbro. But I think you can already see in which direction the show is supposed to go. And as I said. It’s so entertaining that I think you can tolerate the TYT drawing style quite well. I’m just glad that they also thought about the two Royal Guards from the Netflix Movie. This already makes it great for me.

Ah, I’m just so easy to please… You just can’t talk seriously about critique with me. Sorry. ;-D

I wish TYT had a better art style. At least you can tell they’re supposed to be ponies here, unlike Pony Life. Bean mouths don’t suit equine characters.

I don’t know about you guys, but I like Tell your Tale so far. Especially the second episode Zipp’s Flight School. And I also like that goofy cartoonish style of the show. The Royal Guards look really hilarious in it. ;-D
