Sabaton - The Price of a Mile
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It’s an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men’s lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It’s an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out
Young men are dying
They pay the price
Oh how they suffer
So tell me what’s the price of a mile

A bit late for Veteran’s/Remembrance/Armistice Day…but I’ve always found this one very poignant.

@Zerowinger
Eeyup. I have always been a history buff and very impressed with piojote’s work. I am of the opinion that after the Battle of Carrhae and the Battle of Alesia the Sirens should now visit the dark forests of Germania. Ariovist is already waiting for them there. ;-)

Have either of you seen Piojote’s “Dazzling’s Memories” series, which depicts them living through the ancient past fighting for various empires, such as Persia and Carthage?

No wonder that Canterlot is so easy to take when the guards are constantly reading the newspaper. ;-)
