ps1 should be aliased to playstation 1, because other Playstation tags (playstation 2, playstation 3, playstation 4) also have similar shorthand aliases.

For the purposes of tagging clarity this is probably fine, but AFAIK, 2-5 were officially named with the numbers whereas the original hasn’t been.

How many other Playstation tags are out there? I don’t even know.

dualshock controller is playstation-related but isn’t a console itself. also it can’t imply controller because it also is tagged for depictions (eg. on a t-shirt)
psx imply-> playstation - unfortunately “PSX” was the name for two different things (“This article is about the device with the name PSX. For the device whose codename was PSX, see PlayStation (console).”) so it can’t strictly be aliased to playstation 1
psone maybe retag as ps one? (Wikipedia) then imply-> playstation, do not alias to playstation 1 - it’s a distinct product
psn alias-> playstation network

and a few others

On a tangent just because it came up while searching: to what extent should shorthands get aliased for low-use tags? In this case, phantasy star online 2 and pso2

Similarly, ps5 should be aliased to playstation 5.

A misspelled psvita tag exists, it should be aliased to playstation vita.

psp should be aliased to playstation portable, aren’t they the same thing?

We also seem to have a plain playstation. I’m not 100% sure if it’s a catch-all tag for all Playstations, but if it is, then playstation 1, playstation 2, playstation 3, playstation 4 and playstation 5 (and maybe even playstation vita and playstation portable) should imply it.

How many other Playstation tags are out there? I don’t even know.

“Playstation” seems to be the name of the general branding as well, so done.
