Her “reformat” took place with in a minute long motage. I highly doubt it.

She also doesn’t have the excuse of being a spirit of chaos as a reason why she’s so unstable, has shown to be very, VERY good at manipulating others and had her magical potential skyrocket due to her obsession with revenge and other negative emotions.
 
The only way they can make her work so far is to have her faking it until she can find a more direct way to get rid of Twilight. You can’t just establish such a persistent and recurring villain only to have her 180 degree turn at the very end out of nowhere.

Because I would prefer to see her redeemed rather than Discord. Discord has had TWO seasons to prove to us why he should be good, and he hasn’t convinced me yet, not even after Twilight’s Kingdom.  
Yes, Starlight’s talent with manipulation and magic strength was due to the philosophy that she created and spent her whole life believing. This is why Twilight offered her the chance to learn how Starlight can use her talents for good and change her life around.

You’d think she’d be using Dark Magic if she was that strong with her negative emotions.
Considering season 3 showed you can literally buy amplify artifacts of doom.
 
Speaking of the Alicorn Amulet. I’d like to see more stuff like that. What’s the origin of the AM? Is it one of the Eight Artifacts of Meadowbrook?

Well, apparently if you name your kid like Twilight, she (it’s always a she) will have an enormous amount of power and she needs to do is read a bunch of books. Because everyone knows reading is the only way to get good at everything!

They’re good for people who don’t have a lot of initiative, and great for networking for people who do. But those who will really shine typically do so whether they can attend or not. Einstein couldn’t get into grad school and Tesla dropped out of university.

If that happens to be the case, then I seriously hope Starswirl or at least his early descendants were rather prolific and claiming that you have Starswirl in your ancestry would be like a European claiming they’re descended from Charlemagne. Them and everyone else on the continent.

I never got behind the idea that just because you’re the descendant of a powerful mage, etc you’re somehow just as magically potent as they are. That sounds…… really ridiculous.
